Embassy of the Republic of Uganda, Washington DC Has been forced to call off a scheduled Diaspora Meeting between Ugandans and the Vice President of Uganda Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi.
A source within the Embassy told us that the cancellation came as a result of pressure exerted by disgruntled Ugandans in the USA who had organised a demonstration against this meeting.
The meeting was meant to take place on Sunday 16th Feb. 2020 and Ssekandi is already in Washington for the same program.
“On arrival, he was told about the scheduled demonstration and he said he can’t bear with the embarrassment hence calling off the meeting” The source revealed.
The Embassy immediately raised a cancellation communique on it’s Facebook wall.
