A suspect in the murder of mid wife Samantha Eastwood has appeared before the court. Michael Stirling, of Gratton is the accused and was later remanded to North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
Samantha Eastwood 28 years old, her body was found 8 days after she was reported missing. Micheal Stirling is believed to have dropped the body at Caverswall, Staffordshire.
Mr Stirling, 32, is the brother-in-law of Ms Eastwood’s ex-fiancé John Peake. He is believed to have murdered her between 26 July and 5 Aug at Baddeley Green.
According to the post-mortem examination carried out by Staffordshire Police clearly shows the murder was committed by the suspect.
The residents in UK have gone to GoFund me and created a fundraising page for the victim’s family which has now risen to £3,700. Most of the tributes left on page are of the people who were close to the victim. some of the tributes include:
“Having volunteered at Brownies with Samantha, it was clear to see what a caring, lovely person she was. My thoughts are with her family at this awful time.”
