UEFA clears Cristiano Ronaldo to play against Manchester united in champions league

by James Ateenyi

European football governing body UEFA has today upheld the one game ban for the dismissal of Portuguese and Juventus Star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was sent off in Juventus 2-0 win over Valencia in the first game of group stages champions league this season.

It was feared that Ronaldo would face more misery after he took long to leave the field after being red carded but UEFA has decided against that and instead upheld the one game ban.

This means Ronaldo will be able to face his former club Manchester United who are pitted against Juventus in the same group of champions league.

He will sit out his teams next game against Young Boys of Switzerland next week.
