Former state house Director of Transparency International Mr Rwakakamba Morrison has told Kizza Besigye wife to forget about enticing president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with East Africa job.
The Bridge Inernational Schools Uganda Executive Director told the Oxfam executive director Winnie Byanyima that President Museveni will not relinquish power even after being made the first East African president.

“Gen Museveni is savvy. Winnie you need no lectures on Museveni! He knows he can only lead EAC project when he is Commander In Chief in Uganda,” Rwakakamba noted.

According to Rwakakamba, only a weakened Museveni can consider proposals like Byanyima’s EAC project. He said only sustained Organisation by FDC, People Power movement etc can push Museveni and NRM to engage in transition reflections.
The statement comes in reply Winie Byanyima recommendation to have president Museveni elected as East African Community political Federation president in order for him relinquish power in Uganda.

But Rwakakamba, who worked with president Museveni for long period of time said Museveni cannot step down from Uganda presidency to take up a ceremonial position.

Byanyima made the remarks during her independence messages using her social media platforms.
The statement generated divided opinions from sections of population with majority of citizens saying Byanyima recommendation cannot work.
Byanyima however, insists that it is a win win situation for both the opposition and the ruling party.
