Star Times one of Uganda’s digital TV service provider have given Fufa and the body in charge of Uganda Premier League 28 billions which is equivalent to $7,240,000.
The investment is expected to run for 10 years beginning with this years premier league 2018/19.
According to the agreement signed the Uganda Premier league is expected to be named Startimes Super League and the agreement covers also Big league which is to be named Star Times Big League.
This big announcement was delivered at Hotel Africana after all the three sides came to an agreement.
Fufa president Eng. Magoggo was very happy and pleased with Startimes move to take over the leagues and encouraged other sponsors to do the same in order to take Uganda’s football to an advanced level.

Aldrine Nsubuga the assistant president of Startimes Uganda said this move will promote Uganda’s football to over 38 countries in Africa and more 6 on the Asian continent.
The channels to show the local leagues are yet to be communicated.
