Shame as NRM boss faces indefinite expulsion

NRM diehard from Mujono Mr Nsubuga Kenneth Ssebagyunga who is also a lawyer with Nsubuga & Company Advocates has been indefinitely suspended from legal practice over profession misconduct.

Nsubuga who previously stood for Mukono North parliamentary seat was suspended following a separate cases by the disciplinary committee of the Law Council.

The committee chaired by Mr Bruce Kyerere suspended Mr Nsubuga after being found guilty of fraudulent conduct in connection with a drafting a sale agreement for a fraudulent land transaction.

“… we cannot let the respondent’s conduct to go on without chastising it,” ruled the five-member committee, holding that Mr Nsubuga through his law firm, drafted a fraudulent land sale agreement.

Nsubuga on several occasions competed with minister Ronald Kibuule for Mukono seat but lost.

Mr Nsubuga was dragged to the Law Council by Fr George William Ssemombwe following a land transaction that went bad.

The committee were informed that in December 2012, three people Yoweri Musumba, Richard Kakonge and Paul Sembatya introduced the advocate to Fr Ssemombwe to legalise in sale of a two acre land at Bwebajja where the complainant paid Shs120 million.

“I paid Shs120 million and the advocate drafted the agreement and he was to remain with the title for onward transmission to enable a survey and transfer. Upon taking possession, I learnt that the three men were fraudulent and fake,” reads Fr Ssemombwe’s complaint.

The Law council suspended other lawyers including Suleman Musoke, Eric Kiingi and Mr Geoffrey Mudawa.
