President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has started a new campaign tactic as 2021 general election is drawing closer.
Museveni who will be running for the sixth term has adopted a series of campaign strategies sending opposition into panic mode.
Sources within National Resistance Movement intimated that Museveni who will be eyeing to maintain grip on his 35 years grip on power want to completely neutralize oppositions in 2021 hence the reason for new tactics.
Besides giving startup capital to various youth and women groups in the country, the NRM leader has also resumed controversial roadside impromptu campaigns.
On his way to Nakasongola Military barracks to address soldiers, Uganda’s longest serving leader made stop-overs in Kawempe, Matugga and Luweero and spoke to different groups of roadside vendors.
The president advised them to organise themselves in groups/SACCOs in order to enable his government to support them.
In a space of three months, president Museveni has supported several groups including Juakali group, Carpentry workshops in Nsambya and Wandegeya, Wakiso among others.
