Opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Nelson Chamisa has expressed confident in wining the Zimbabwe election.
He said a tweet that his party is winning with a clear majority in over 10,000 polling stations across the country and expressed hope that nothing will stop him from winning
He praised the MDC for exceeding doing well and said he is only waiting for Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) to confirm his victory. He added he is ready to form the next government in Zimbabwe.
The July 30 poll witnessed high voters turnout of about 75 percent and is the first election without former Zimbabwe leader Robert Mugabe and former opposition leader Morgan Tsangarei who passed on early this year.
Former leader Mugabe who ruled the country since Independence told the media on Sunday that he would not vote for his former tormentor calling them coup leaders.
ZEC has maximum of 5 days to declare the winner and is yet to release the official provisional results. Voting where peaceful in most part of the country and mainly youths turned up in big numbers with hope of changing the leadership of the country.
Zimbabwe is the only country in the world without national currency and has been using foreign currency especially US dollar and South Africa Rand.
The race is stiff between MDC Nelson Chamisa and incumbent president Emerson Mnangagwa of ZANU-PF party.
