Foreign Affairs minister Hon Sam Kuteesa has delivered special message from president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Rwanda president Paul Kagame.
The message was delivered directly to Kagame on Thursday this week.
Uganda Media Centre has revealed that, the duo also met and discussed issues of bilateral interest and pledged to work closely to broaden, improve and deepen corporation between the two neighboring land locked countries.
The president letter comes few days after Rwanda president Paul kagame unexpectedly reshuffled his cabinet dropping his long time Defence minister General James Kabarebe and Police boss Emmaul Gasane.
Although Museveni’s letter to Kagame was undisclosed to the media, pundits say the letter included among others the ‘frosty’ relations between Kampala and Kigali and the recent cabinet and military reshuffle.
The development also comes after there was a media report that, there is the two leaders don’t see eye to eye a claim that has been denied by both countries.
Uganda Media Centre also confirmed that minister Kuteesa had earlier met with Dr Richard Sezibera the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and the East African Community.
