Museveni threatens to sell his cows over lazy state house staff

President Yoweri Museveni has lauded the people of Kashongi county Kiruhura district for electing hardworking and visionary leaders that have what it takes to implement government programs and plan to lobby for the provision of quality services to development in the area.

Museveni made the remarks after inaugurating the extension of water system in the area under the National Water and Sewerage Corporation which is connected to Rubindi gravity flow scheme to Kashongi county, including the construction of the new complex structure for Kashongi Farmers Sacco where he contributed 50 million Uganda Shillings.

The Kashongi Farmers SAACO General Manager Ms Rise Kiconco revealed that the SAACO is planning to construct storeyed building estimated to cost Shs1.4 billion and will contain a supermarket, social hall, and offices for the Sacco.

President Museveni thanked the Member of Parliament Kashongi County Hon Genensio Tumuramye of NRM for being a visionary leader who is committed at lobbying for his people to benefit from the national cake.

Tumuramye on his part reminded the president most his pledges he made from 2000 to the people of Kashongi are yet to come to pass.

The irritated president warned the officials from presidential office against failing his pledges. He added that people have resorted to ask the head of state for a mere Shs10 million which is very shameful. He threatened to sell some of his bulls to fulfill his pledges if they do not act soon.

Museveni added that, because the electorates chose a visionary NRM member of parliament who is cooperating with the government, he will ensure that Ruhumba-Byanamira-Kiruhura road is tarmacked to improve service delivery and marketing of local products.

Other roads to be tarmacked include Bwizibwera-Bukiro-Nsiika, Nyakashaka-Nyakabirizi, Bwizibwera -Nyakashaka- Masheruka-Kabwohe-Kitagata and Rushere-Kinoni-Nyabitanga-Ntutsi.
