Kenyans have threatened not to back East African political federation if Uganda president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is elected as the political head of the young regional integration.
The decision was revealed by the Executive director of the Kenya Human Rights commission George Kegoro who said Museveni is not an example of a good leader due to style of leadership because he does not listen to advise from other people.
He went ahead to add that Museveni already caused a lot of problems to his country Uganda and such behaviour can not be allowed to spread to neighbouring East African region.
He cited the recent torture of Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssemtamu and other legislators as by military as a sign that Museveni is not a good leader.
He asked members state of East Africa Community to shun Museveni because of his bad leadership style.
His remarks come out weeks after Kenya deputy president Williams Ruto visited Uganda recently assured Museveni that Kenya will back him for the federation top job because he stood with the integration for long time.
Kegoro however, said Ruto statement was misleading and should be treated with the contempt it deserves adding that Museveni can not be such person to trust.
