Museveni furious as Chinese firm sold him Non-Functional equipment

Non-Functional electronic Road Traffic signs And lights that were recently installed by the Chinese Communication and Construction Company (CCCC) as part of the Entebbe Expressway Road project.

For quite some time now, they haven’t been in operation and interestingly, motorists, pedestrians, Boda Boda riders and the wider community in Entebbe haven’t come out to protest and demonstrate as to why the electronic Road Traffic signs And lights aren’t operating.

Traffic is moving on smoothly and peacefully and this explains that the electronic Road Traffic signs And lights were dropped on Entebbe Road by the Chinese Construction Firm and they didn’t come from a natural demand for them by Entebbe residents.

Life is going on peacefully in Entebbe with a few bothered about the traffic signs and lights.

Sources within State House has however, told this website that top state house officials are concerned over the project because they installed at a huge fee funded by Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development (USMID).

According to the source, president Yoweri Museveni is particularly unhappy with the Chinese contractor for installing substandard equipments that did not last for even two month.

The traffic lights some of which are located few metres away from State House was installed in order to control traffic on busy Entebbe road.
