As several ministers are having sleepless nights wondering whether they will retain their seats in cabinet, others have also resorted to lobbying for appointment in order to eat big in the next government of president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Museveni last week finalised his plans to name the new cabinet after he went for retreat in Rwakitura, where he carried a big file and was seen writing and cancelling other things in what is said to be final amendment to the list of the cabinet.
The president this time plans to name vibrantb team who will spearhead his re-election campaign come 2021 general elections and counter the growing popularity of Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.
Sources close to president Museveni told us that some opposition members of parliament who fears that they would lose their seats come 2021, have resorted to lobbying the appointing authority to be rewarded with ministerial post before they are shown exit by their respective voters.
The legislators also believes, being appointed as ministers would increase their chances of being re-elected to parliament come 2021.
Two female members of parliament from opposition Forum for Democratic Change have been spotted at the state house on several occasions in order to cement their appointment.
The two the sources said are Kumi woman member of parliament and General Mugisha Muntu right hand woman, Among Anita and Kitgum municipality member of parliament Beatrice Anywar who have been regularly spotted at the corridor of power both days and night trying to cement their appointment.
The two are said to receive a lot of hostility from their respective voters who accuses them of not not respecting their views during the recent age limit bill debate in parliament.
Among was FDC deputy treasurer while Anywar, popularity known as Mama Mabira was Secretary for Environment and shadow minister in FDC government.
