Kayihura has condemned ISO conducts calling it unprofessional and barbaric

by Odongo Christopher

General Kale Kayihura has for the first time spoken out about his arrests since he was dentained on June 13. The general  who currently held at Millitary facility in Makindye, Kampala accused the security operative of acting out of order claiming that the evidence is being  fabricated to incriminate him.

He made the revelation  through his lawyers of Kampala Associated Advocates. He accused  top security officials in the Internal Security Organisations (ISO) for forging evidence and conniving with witnesses to pin him once he is produced in court. He also condemned the action of ISO boss Col Frank Kaka Bagyenda for parading suspects to testify against him in media saying it is unprofessional behaviour which should never be tolerated in modern society. The General who was one time considered being so close to the president maintained his innocence saying he is ready to face justice.

The government has however dismissed Kayihura allegations stating that he will charged accordingly once the investigation into his matter is complete. It is also important to note that during Kayihura tenure as the IGP, he parraded several suspects before the media but he has come out to condemn the same thing  he was doing calling it barbaric when it was done against him

Since his arrests, Kayihura remained majorly silent and did not speak on his situation.
Several Civil Society groups have previously asked government to speed up investigation into the matter of have Kayihura charged in court of law. His statement came nearly one week after ISO director Col Kaka parraded several suspects who confessed on camera they were working with Kayihura and oppositions to cause havoc in Uganda.
