Comedian Kato Lubwama said he is the reason the Kyadondo East member of parliament Hon Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine is popular because he secretly inspired the Ghetto president into politics.
The Lubaga South member of parliament added that people are looking at Bobi Wine as someone branded like them and they have a lot of hope in him.
“By the way, I inspired Bobi Wine to join politics,” Lubwama told NBS television.
Lukwago said he is interested in being the president but added that he would back Bobi Wine bid for presidency.
“I am not interested in the big seat but I am ready to help anyone eyeing the president’s seat.” Lubwama added.
He said tension is still there in the country, people are living in uncertainty because of the political climate in the country because the ruling National Resistance Movement has failed to bring development in the country.
Speaking earlier, UPDF senior officer Maj Gen Kasirye Ggwanga said Kyagulanyi is a very smart man who is capable of leading the country.
“…they are messing with Kyagulanyi… He sizes you up and he takes his time. If he doesn’t mix with failed politicians, he will go a long way,” Ggwanga said.
Bobi Wine popularity has been rising steadily among the youth because he has been fighting for a common man.
Before joining politics, he composed several songs against the mistreatment of poor Ugandans.
