Kasese district Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) youth leaders have piled more pressure on party leadership tasking them to explain the circumstance under which Winnie Kiiza was dropped as Leader of oppositions in Parliament.
The group led by Kasese district Local Government vice chairman Gideon Ntabosi who doubles as district FDC youth chairman said they are saddened by the way Winnie Kiiza is being treated and demands urgent answers to their concerns within five days.
The angry youths threatened to demonstrate against the party if its leaders fails to give them a clear reason for dropping their daughter who is considered as a peace maker in the district.
Party president Patrick Amoriat Oboi who announced the reshuffle said earlier on Monday that he has no grudge against Kiiza maintaining that the change was made in good faith so as to strengthen the party.
Amoriat further added that there is need for a rotational leadership within the party so as to mentor many leaders within the party other than ringfencing the top position to some few individuals.
Bugweri county member of parliament Abdu Katuntu who was also dropped in the reshuffle termed the changes as a purge on those who supported former party president Mugisha Muntu who lost to Oboi last year in hotly contested election.
Kiiza on Monday said she will announce her next course of action after getting official communication from the party maintaining that she is still LoP.
