Kadaga the Speaker of Uganda’s parliament has written to president Museveni to arrest the goon soldiers who were involved in the torture of Kyadondo East MP Hon Kyagulanyi A.K.A Bobi Wine and Other MPs such as Zaake who is in ICU at Rubaga hospital. The document also calls for the arrest of the soldiers who were seen harassing journalists who were covering the pro #FreeBobiWine protests which rocked Kampala On Monday last week.
The public was shocked to see how soldiers of the Special Force were unruly and their show of no respect towards Human rights trended on the social media which led to apology from the CDF Gen Muhoozi and an arrest warrant was issued though it was not implemented according to sources which reached info256.
In the letter dated 27th of August, The speaker of Parliament Rebecca told Museveni that security operatives who had participated in the torture of MPs and the Journalists as well as civilians should be arrested and brought to justice.
“Unless this is done, it will be very difficult to conduct Government Business in Parliament. The Uganda Parliament will not condone or acquiesce in acts of torture,” Kadaga letter stated.
The torture of the MPs came during the after math of the Arua By-Election which was filled chaos and death of one person the driver of Bobi Wine Yasin. Several opposition MPs such as Hon Kyagulanyi, Mityana MP Zaake, Kassiano Wadri (Who was eventually came out as winner of the By-Election), Mwiri (Jinja East), Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality) and Mike Mabikke (former Makindye East) and several people which totaled to a number of 34.
