Uganda president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged the voters of Arua municipality to ignore the persistence lies being peddled by the oppositions and shame them by voting the ruling party candidate Nusura Tiperu in an election scheduled for today Wednesday 15, August.

The national chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party wondered how the oppositions continues going around the country especially West Nile spreading lies on something they don’t understand.

He reminded the people of Arua how his government brought them back from exiles in neighboring countries like Sudan and DR Congo.

“When UPC launched a revenge attack on the people of West Nile for supporting Idi Amin and people went into exile, it was only when NRM came into power that these people returned to the country,” Museveni said.

He also told the residents that NRM defeated several rebel groups including Joseph Kony LRA who have been terrorizing the local communities.

The head of state also wondered how someone like Kasiano Wadri can come and lie people about bringing development yet his record in Terego shows otherwise and was kicked out due to poor performance.

He warned the people to be careful with politics or else they would live to regret for the rest of their lives.

He also told the locals that NRM party has introduced politics which ensure service delivery and doesn’t divide people along tribes and religions and has strong, able and capable army that can defeat anyone who tries to rebel against the NRM party.

On former MP Abiriga killing the president says several criminals from neighboring countries sneaked in to the country to cause instability and disturb the peace that has been created by NRM government.

He also reminded the residents of Arua that his government has defeated several rebels groups in the past and the criminals will be defeated by use of technology such as installation of camera all over the country and in all major high ways.
