The driver of Bobi Wine Kawoya Yasin has been shot dead in Arua following the chaos that erupted in the Arua municipality. The chaos ensued after supporters of different candidates clashed after holding their final rallies.
Police used bullets and teargas to disperse supporters of various candidates who had turn rowdy in the town. It is in this chaos that Bobi wine driver who sitting in the MP’s car was hit by the bullet in the chest killing him instantly.
“Police has shot my driver dead thinking they’ve shot at me. My hotel is now cordoned off by police and SFC,” Bobi Wine said.

Democratic Party also condemned the action calling it act of cowardice by the regime.
“It has been confirmed that someone was shoot dead in Hon Robert Kyagulanyi’s vehicle.
It’s very unfortunate that the NRM regime has turned into brutalizing and killing Ugandans in each election that it organizes. This leaves us wondering the use of organizing elections. NRM must go.” DP said in the statement.

Kampala lord mayor Erias Lukwago said the incident is a sign of rotten regime
“Extremely horrified by the grisly act of outright murder of this innocent young man, who was driving Hon. Kyagulanyi’s vehicle in Arua town this evening. These are ominous signs of an explosive political environment that beset our motherland. May His Soul Rest in eternal peace.” Lukwago said.
In related story several MPs including Mityana municipality MP hon Zaake, Bobi Wine himself, Ntungamo municipality municipality MP hon Gerald Kyaruhamga and Jinja East municipality MP hon Paul Mwiru have been arrested
