The drama in the National Unity Platform has attracted the government’s attention following counter accusations from former and current leaders of the party.

Last week, the media was awash with the court proceedings following the cross examination of the former party president Moses Kibalama Nkoge in court.

Mr Kibalama told Court that, Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine fraudulently took over his party without falling the right procedures.

Bobi Wine while addressing the media shortly after the court proceeding said Kibalama is under pressure from president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni whom he accused of trying to destabilize the NUP party.

The Executive Director of media centre Ofono Opondo said on Monday that Kyagulanyi and his disciples are hijackers and pirates trying to take what is not theres.

According to Opondo, the government spokesperson, Kyagulanyi just snatched NUP from Kibalama and therefore should return what he grabbed by  force. Mr Opondo adds that in life people make mistakes and therefore Kyagulanyi should not feel ashamed of returning the party to the rightful owner.

Opondo further adds that its so heartbreaking for a young man like Kyagulanyi to make an old man who can ever father him to cry like a young child. According to OO, it is Kyagulanyi making Kibalama suffer by simply refusing to return the ‘loot’ to the owner.

Mr Opondo has also cautioned the NUP supporters of not making the same mistake again to jump into a political vehicle without knowing its source and destination.
