First Deputy Prime Minister General Moses Ali has clashed with Deputy Speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah over disputed piece of land.
According to General Ali, Oulanyah who is also Omoro county member of parliament has produced a report on the contested Apaa land as a political tool geared towards prolonging the dispute between the Madi and Acholi.
While the prime minister’s report recommended relocation and compensation of occupants on the forest reserve, Mr. Oulanyah’s report to the president disregarded that advice.
The Apaa land conflict is pitting the two high ranking NRM officials who have high influence in the running of affairs of this country on opposite sides.
“For us we are saying, the Prime Minister finished his job, he cannot talk about Apaa again, if you are appointed again to do what now,” furious Moses Ali said.
Few months ago, leaders from Acholi subregion accused General Ali of being among the top government officials who are fueling Apaa land crisis an allegation Moses Ali denied.
