As Ugandans are eagerly waiting for 2021 general election, the country is anxiously waiting who will be their new leader.
Several people including incumbent president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Democratic Party President General Norbert Mao, Bobi Wine of People Power Movement among others have already declared their interest for the country top seat.
Today bring you five key reasons why we think Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine stand a chance in the next poll;
1.THE THIRSTY FOR PEACEFUL CHANGE:
Many Ugandans have long overdue waited for a moment where a seating president will handover tools of power to a new person at Kololo Independence ground. This factor is actually most supported by the genuine NRM cadres not the parasites.
Recently we have seen several president within the region adopting this strategy with neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo being the latest country to emulate this.
2. THE PEACEFUL STRATEGY OF BOBI WINE:
Some Ugandans failed/refused to agree with the previous opposition figures on grounds of defiance and using force all the time… Bobi despite being a law abiding young man, he has always called for peaceful challenging of the government and their policies.
3. THE MESSAGE IN HIS MUSIC:
Bobi’s music has always been inspirational and an element of reference to those opposed to social and political injustices in Uganda.. In fact his music has inspired many young people to join the struggle against NRM government.
4. THE ROLE OF HIS DIE HARDS:
Every politicians feels proud of having a force that can work an extra mile to preach the Gospel of change with or without a pay.. Bobi wine fans are very willing to spend on his behalf and take no nonsense against their leader.. These can help in publicising his manifesto once it’s out.
5.THE MISTAKES OF NRM:
OTT, mobile money taxes, music regulations, dishing out money, police brutality and unwarranted arrest s Togikwatako, using third parties to fight Bobi Wine like the use of Bebe Cool, Bryn White etc will definitely earn the Ghetto gladiator a sympathy votes.
6. Mass National registration campaign
7.Role of foreign influence
8.Determination of Ugandans
Possible coalition with other opposition forces.
