DP bloc leaders are in bitter split over Besigye and Bobi Wine

by James Ateenyi

Democratic Party bloc members are in split over the recent announcement by former presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye and Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine on working together.

Two DP bloc leaders Dr Abed Bwanika and Michael Mabikke had called on Besigye to back Bobi Wine if he want to make the coalition successful.

DP president Norbert Mao on his part said the two has gone astray and their statement is misguided.

He urged the DP bloc members to allow the two leaders to work together without being influenced by others. On his part Mao had this to say;

I think let’s get the substance of unity not the form.
This isn’t the just, off course, some of the Politicians from Buganda are under pressure from voters that to be fighting Hon Bobi wine is very dangerous thing.
Col Besigye is unindecipherable prayer in the struggle for change in Uganda. Anybody who undestimates col Besigye, Obviously has not been awake during Uganda politics.
