Disgruntled Tumukunde tipped Bobi Wine on how to beat Museveni

Former security minister Lt.Gen. (Rtd)Henry Tumukunde has advised Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon.Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and other opposition leaders to work so hard if they want to oust president Yoweri Museveni from State House.

Gen.Tumukunde said this while appearing on Bukedde TV’s popular talk-show known as ‘Akabbinkano’ last Monday, hosted by Charles Seruga Matovu.

During the TV show, Tumukunde also urged Bobi Wine, who officially declared his intentions to contest for presidency come 2021 general election, to open his mind wider and learn more about what it takes to vie for the highest office in the land.

“I want to appeal to Bobi Wine not to get satisfied with only what he knows. No, he must continue to learn more.” Tumukunde said. “You know there are some people who get comfort in knowing only what they know and don’t want to learn,” he continued.

Tumukunde also laughed at some opposition politicians who think president Museveni will hand over power to them the way a parent can give out a bunch of Bogoya ( ripe Bananas) to his child!

Tumukunde, a retired Uganda People’s Defence Forces General, is currently conducting consultation tours with several voters with in Kampala on his intentions to vie for City Lord mayorship come 2021 general elections.

The former director of chieftaincy of military inteligence (CMI) also called on the opposition to realize the importance of working together.

“There is a young man from DP called Kijambu whom Iam working with to establish the problems of Kampala and see how I will solve them incase I decide to stand, but I hear they’ve already warned him agaisnt working with me that they will suspend him. Now during my service, I want to provide an SPV( special purpose vehicle) which doesn’t know political parties or colors,I want to serve the people of Kampala, not parties. Infact they even don’t know what I discuss with that young man,it has nothing to do with party, because what if I decide to stand on DP,NRM,UPC,or even independent? What will happen? I haven’t decided yet,so why warn him? We need to work for the people,” said Tumukunde.
