Detained Gen Tumukunde writes to the country

Detained former minister of security and presidential aspirant Lt General Henry Tumukunde has written to Ugandans from his detention centre.

Tumukunde who recently announced he would run for the presidency urged his supporters to remains firm and focus emphasizing he was arrested without any reason.

Below is Tumukunde letter to his supporters and Ugandans at large.

Ugandans, here is a message for you from Gen Tumukunde on his sick bed.

“A team of investigators from both the police/ security organs forced their way into my house in Rukungiri rounding up all the people who are currently on the premises, the New vision and other paid medias are reporting that I am currently enroute to Rukungiri which is false. The search happened without my presence. They are being led by the RDC Dan Kaguta! …

Having failed to find whatever they are looking for, they are now in the process of breaking down my village house.”
