The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) party president and former presidential Dr Abed Bwanika has said Uganda youth have been bewitched and is the reason they can’t come out to demand for regime change.
Bwanika was speaking during Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) reunion at Kaunda ground Gulu. He asserted that it is tragic to see that the youth who comprises of the majority of the population are comfortable serving the interests of president Museveni calling it real act of witchcraft.
“Ugandan youth have been bewitched, how can they vote for a man who doesn’t know where he is going? He is old and has ruled Ugandans for the last three decades with oppression,” Mr Bwanika said.
He urged youth to come out of their comfort zone and join the struggle to dislodge president Museveni.
Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine who was one of the guest speakers reiterated Bwanika remarks stating that the future of the country lies in the hand of the youth. He urged them to stand up and be counted and lead the journey to dislodge president Museveni regime from the front.
“Some of my friends disappoint me when it comes to the struggle to liberate our country. They think I am the one who can do it better, but I say no to that because I am not a prophet. Many have been misled because they believe so much in others more than themselves,” he said.
He urged youth to come together and fight at the united front assuring the gathering that without unity they cannot win the struggle because dislodging dictator is always not easy task.
