Kyadondo East lawmaker, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has vowed to appeal the court decision over the disputed Lusanja land.
On Friday, the High Court Land Division in Kampala ruled in favour of businessman Medard Kiconco in a case over the disputed ownership of land in Lusanja.
High Court judge, Justice Tadeo Asiimwe also ruled ruled that the 127 residents bought the disputed land from the wrong person and therefore trespassed on kiconco’s land who is the registered owner having purchased it authentically from Paul Katabazi Bitabareho in 2016..
The High Court has since ordered the 127 residents who were evicted from the land on Lusanja located on the Mpererwe-Kiteezi Road to vacate it, they have been given up to 30 days.
Now, Bobi Wine says he together with Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago are looking at the possibility of appealing Friday’s decision.
The lawmaker told journalists on Saturday saying he is in touch with leaders in the area to make sure they reverse the ‘unjust’ decision.
“It is sad that Judge Asiimwe ruled in favour of Kinconco,” Bobi said.
The land in dispute is part of a chunk of about 85 acres that the late Paul Bitarabeho bought in 1978 from the late mother of King Mwanga, Namasole Bagalaayeze Lunkusu.
