Namboole Stadium management speaks out on Bobi Wine concert saga

Namboole national Stadium has cancelled Bobi Wine concert which was scheduled to take place at the stadium on Saturday 20th October 2018.

In a letter addressed to Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine event organisers, the management of the Stadium said the venue has already been booked.

“Kindly note that the Stadium got two (2) prebook events namely the Uganda Athletics Federation workshop from 15th October to 26th October and wedding on 20th October 2018,” the letter reads in part.

Bobi Wine has been asked by the management of the Stadium to choose another day for his concert.

There was a lot of back and forth between Bobi Wine and security forces who had earlier stated that Bobi Wine concert was not cleared by the security forces.

The development comes after the event organisers announced yesterday that, the sale for the tickets have of the tickets had began.

Bobi Wine while in Kenya stated on Citizen TV that the music show would go on as planned but the latest moves is likely to be a major setback for the musician come politician.

The concert was expected to attract a lot people especially after Bobi Wine gained a lot of popularity following the recent brutal torture he suffered in Arua town.
